C-Space "Shan"anigans: February
- Feb 25

This February may have been one of the gloomiest on record but when you’re working from C-Space there is always someone to commiserate with about the awful weather or jump in the surf with you if you’re feeling glum.

We celebrated the month of love by hosting our first Date my Mate Valentine’s Party, where we encouraged Newquay singles to bring a wingman to hype them up. Almost 50 friendly folks braved an Atlantic hurricane to come and mingle, aided by our quirky games and wingman-themed cocktails, and we all had a blast.

Our Bring a Friend Feb offer brought in a few new hotdeskers, with some of them loving the vibes so much, they decided to stick around and become monthly members.
Two of our favourite coworkers returned to the workroom this month while three newbies also took up office – and that means all our long-term desks are currently full!
Meanwhile we were stoked for longstanding coworker Sarah Cavill as she upgraded to her own private office, where she’s now taking clients for her coaching and hypnotherapy practice.
A surprisingly busy weekend in early Feb saw Stevie racing between hosting jobs - from bingo master at our Bingo & Burgers Members Social on Thursday to kickin’ her heels at our first Line Dancing event on Friday night, then on to wrangling kiddos at our first kids party on Saturday and finally, ending things on a happy note with a baby shower on Sunday.
Pancake Day provided a much-needed treat on yet another rainy day when our members got to enjoy a mid-morning pancake feast.
February may be traditionally regarded as a quiet month in Newquay, but Stevie and I have managed to keep ourselves busy mopping floors behind soggy surfers, unclogging sandy shower drains, fixing temperamental coffee machines, orchestrating car tetris in the parking lot, trying to keep plants alive and petting the office dogs.
We look forward to doing it all again next month – hopefully with less rain.
